UP to get two more Smart Cities- Gorakhpur, Ayodya

A sum of Rs 175 crores has been set aside for the purpose of development of these seven corporations, including Gorakhpur, Ayodya.

In a major development in Uttar Pradesh, the state government declared of developing seven new municipal corporations including Gorakhpur and Ayodya into smart cities. 

This major decision was announced in a recent cabinet meeting, in which it is also declared that each corporation under the Smart City project will be provided Rs 50 crore.

The other five corporations in the list are Mathura-Vrindavan, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Firozabad and Shahjahanpur. A sum of  Rs 175 crores has been set aside for the purpose of development of these seven corporations, as announced by the state Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath.
