Rajasthan State Budget emphasizes on Farmer Welfare & Youth Employment

The state budget presented by the Rajasthan CM earlier declared Rs 1000 crore funds for farmer’s welfare & Rs 5200 crore feeder for uninterrupted power supply to farmers.

The state budget for the financial year 2019-20 of Rajasthan is presented on Wednesday by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the Rajasthan Assembly. Emphasizing that it is a people’s budget, and has been curated been taking into account the suggestions across different sections of the society, the Ashok Gehlot led government has allocated major funds for farmer welfare, medical facilities, state highways, and electric vehicle scheme among others.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan proposed Rs 1,000 crore fund for farmers’ welfare. Apart from that, there are various schemes on irrigation and Rs 5,200 crore feeder for uninterrupted power supply to the farmers.

The Budget also states that a target of Rs 16,000 crore crop loans from cooperative banks has been set and said ‘Nandi Shala’ will be built in each gram panchayat.

An amount of Rs 927 crore has been allocated for state highways, Janta Clinics and electric vehicles policy. Within the Rajasthan government’s free medicine scheme, 104 medicine types have been added.

Rs 1,000 crore has been allocated for the CM Youth Employment Scheme. Apart from that, the Chief Minister also mentioned that 75,000 vacant positions will be filled in various government departments to provide jobs to the youth.
