REPL appointed as Consultant for Jabalpur Smart City

Rudrabhishek Enterprises Ltd. (REPL), a Delhi-based public limited infrastructure consultancy firm, has been awarded the Project Development and Management Consultancy by Jabalpur Smart City Limited (JSCL).

(REPL), a Delhi-based public limited infrastructure consultancy firm, has been awarded the Project Development and Management Consultancy by Jabalpur Smart City Limited (JSCL). The LOI for the same was issued through Executive Director, JSCL for the duration of 24 months which may have extension.


Jabalpur smart city project envisions of creating dense, compact, mixed use parcels with vibrant streets and safe public spaces for enhanced social interactions. The Area Based Development (ABD) of Jabalpur relies on a financially robust and sustainable, retrofit cum Redevelopment 'Hub and Spoke' model in Wright and Napier Town (743 Acres). The aim is to improve quality of life to citizens, develop supporting infrastructure for sustainable development and facilitate smart governance.          


REPL would support JSCL in overall management of Smart City project, including project planning, budgeting, supervising, managing, monitoring & evaluating, reporting and coordination to ensure timely project development and implementation in line with Smart City Proposal and Smart Cities Mission. 


In an official statement, Mr. Pradeep Misra, CMD-REPL said, “Jabalpur is among the first 20 cities which were selected in first round under Smart Cities Mission (SCM). Jabalpur is of extreme importance in the context of Madhya Pradesh being an administrative, industrial and business centre of the state. Therefore, while working on Jabalpur Smart City project, we will bring all our experience of project management consultantcy from other smart cities such as Varanasi, Kanpur, Dehradun, Indore, Moradabad & Itanagar. Our experience in mixed used land development, developing walkable smart roads, developing open spaces, promoting a variety of transport options such as Transit-Oriented Development and last-mile connectivity, giving identity to city, applying Smart Solutions etc will help in accelerating this project with efficiency.”


Dr. Harish Sharma (Executive Director-REPL) shared that the ABD will focus on areas such as, reviewing the existing status of physical Infrastructure and other available secondary data, identifying requirements of surveys, studies and investigations, carrying out necessary surveys, investigations, situational analysis, cost-benefit analysis, preparing preliminary project cost estimates. Reviewing the available GIS maps and integrating to the possible extent to develop area wise spatial mapping on assets and preparing of situation analysis report for each module.


REPL is already working on 6 Smart Cities projects i.e. Varanasi (U.P.), Kanpur (U.P), Moradabad (U.P.), Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Indore (M.P.) and Itanagar (AP). It is also involved in several other infrastructure and planning projects such as PMAY (U.P. & Pune); Housing For All Plan of Action (HFAPoA) in 4 states; GIS Based master plans in Andhra Pradesh, U.P. etc.
