Punjab Govt constitutes committee for 'Housing for All'

Punjab Government has constituted the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) to provide houses to every citizen under 'Housing for All' policy

CHANDIGARH, December 16: Punjab Government today constituted the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) to provide houses to every citizen under 'Housing for All policy'. Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson said that in pursuance to the provision made under Housing for All Policy for the State of Punjab (Urban), Punjab Government has constituted a state Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Punjab whereas Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development would be the Vice Chairman of this committee. Other members of this committee would be Principal Secretary Finance, Secretary Local Government, Secretary Revenue, Secretary Science, Technology and Environment, State Level Bankers' Committee Convener, and State Nodal Officer (Chief Administrator, PUDA), he said. The Chairman of the SLSMC shall have the authority to co-opt any other member or invite special invitees to the meeting of the SLSMC as and when need arises, the spokesperson said.
