Pi-Lo Inaugurates Portable Sewage Treatment Plant at Parmarth Ashram to Help Clean Ganga

Standing firm on their mission of providing clean and pure drinking water, Pi-Lo Shudh Pani Seva Foundation, a non-for profit organization on Sunday successfully inaugurated a portable sewage treatment plant (STP) at Parmarth Ashram, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The Sewage treatment plant was inaugurated by Uttarakhand Chief Minister; Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat along with his full cabinet and Pujya Swami Chidanand SaraswatiJi, President, Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

In this initiative, Pi-Lo has been sponsored by Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC) and LIC of India, which also support the successful run of Pi-Lo free RO water ATMs. The Portable Sewage treatment plant (STP) is based on PMTR Technology which automatically treats chemicals dissolved in water to help make it cleaner for daily use. Pi-Lo also plans to add more such plants to clean river “Ganga” in the near future.


On the inauguration, Uttarakhand Chief Minister; Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat said, “He hopes that by the Next Kumbh Ganga will be cleaner through the use more such portable sewage treatment Plants and he supports such initiatives by Pi-Lo Shudh Pani Seva Foundation”


Additionally, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, President, ParmarthNiketan Ashram said, “Such Initiatives should be followed in the earliest time possible to clean Indian rivers in the coming years.”


During the Inauguration, Mr Jatin Ahlawat, Director Pi-Lo Shudh PaniSeva Foundation said, “Pi-Lo is fortunate to clean river Ganga through its sewage treatment plants and is thankful to the support of the government and Parmarth Niketan Ashram on the same.”
