Odisha Govt collaborates with ICICI Bank for e-Governance

The new service enables people in Odisha to pay utility bills on the state government’s website using an ICICI Bank payment gateway.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Odisha have signed a MOU with ICICI Bank to ease citizen centric services in the state.

The new service enables people in Odisha to pay utility bills on the state government’s website using an ICICI Bank payment gateway.

To avail this service, users can log on to www.odishaonline.gov.in , and pay their utility bills by simply clicking their preferred mode of payment such as debit cards, credit cards or internet banking. All payments will be routed through the ICICI Bank payment gateway. `

The other bank users can also avail these facilities by using their debit card, credit card and net-banking facilities of any bank.

Speaking on the initiative, Avijit Saha, Retail Business Head (East), ICICI Bank said, “We are happy to be associated with the state government in extending technology-based services to the people of Odisha. This initiative is in line with ICICI Bank’s philosophy of ‘Ready For You. Ready For Tomorrow’. In line with this thought, we are committed to continuously innovate and serve to the needs of our customers. I believe that this new facility will offer more convenience to the people of Odisha and play a crucial role in strengthening the Government's e-governance initiatives.”

In the last one year, the state government has launched various eGovernance and mGovernance initiatives in cities villages.
