MoHUA approves construction of 56,368 houses under PMAY-U
As per a statement from the Housing Ministry, these houses are to be constructed under various verticals of PMAY(U).

In a recent development, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs(MoHUA) sanctioned the construction of 56,368 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Urban(PMAY-U) under the 53rd Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee Meeting.
As per officials of the housing department, these houses are proposed to be constructed under various verticals of the PMAY-U Mission. Housing Secretary, Durga Shankar Mishra urged the states and UTs to ensure 100 percent completion and delivery of PMAY houses to all its eligible beneficiaries within the mission period.
About 11 states and UT's attended the Monitoring Committee meeting and were directed to use the online mechanism (MIS) for proper implementation and monitoring of the mechanism.
