GURGAON (HARYANA), January 10: Mapping for the first phase of the smart grid project for power supply in Gurgaon has been completed and tender for this would be floated in February. Mapping for the first phase of smart grid project has been done. Electricity lines to be covered by this project would be made underground, an official spokesperson said here today. Apart from this, there is a target to generate 3 to 5 MW electricity from solar energy in the next six months by installing rooftop panels, he said. Under this project, rooftop solar panels would initially be installed on the houses in the township of Nirvana Country, which would lead to generation of 200 KW electricity, the spokesperson added.
