India Smart Grid Week to be held from March 7

More than 200 internationally acclaimed experts in the field of energy, policymakers, technology providers, academia and researchers will take part in the event to be held at the Manekshaw Centre here

Emerging transformation of the country's energy sector will be discussed at the India Smart Grid Week, scheduled from March 7, that will be attended by power sector experts from 50 countries.

The third edition of the event, spanning over four days, will also witness bilateral workshops with the EU, Canada, Sweden and US on smart grid technology.

More than 200 internationally acclaimed experts in the field of energy, policymakers, technology providers, academia and researchers will take part in the event to be held at the Manekshaw Centre here.

The topics of discussion include advanced solutions for grid modernisation, FDI in smart infrastructure, e-mobility and future of transportation and renewable energy integration.

Smart grids have emerged as a key enabling infrastructure to develop smart solutions to resolve India's energy woes, said Reji Kumar Pillai, president of India Smart Grid Forum.

The initiative is supported by several ministries including power, NITI Aayog as well as several other international agencies.
