Haryana: Keshni Anand Arora, Named New Chief Secretary, Beside Major Rejigs

In a major bureaucratic rejig announced by the Government of Haryana, Keshni Anand Arora has been announced the new Chief Secretary of the state, besides a few more reshuffles in the recent past.

In a major bureaucratic rejig, Keshni Anand Arora, a 1983- batch IAS Topper, took over the charges of Chief Secretary Post, from D S Dhesi, who retired on Sunday after a straight four-year period.

Earlier, she worked as the deputy director general at UIDAI's Regional Office in Chandigarh, wherein she was involved in the implementation process of Aadhaar in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh (UT), Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Keshni had a huge experience in the Electronics and IT sector as she was streamlined in the e-District project Haryana, which was ranked No.1 by the Govt. of India. She has a 15 months tenure as she is due to her retirement process on September 2020.

In another major reshuffle, Sanjeev Verma, a 2004 batch IAS officer got transferred as Special Secretary and director of Archives Department after serving as director and special secretary of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department.

In another major reshuffle, Geeta Bharti got transferred director and special secretary of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department after serving as special secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department.
