HARYANA GOVT SIGNS MoU with JAPAN's MIZUHO BANK to ATTARCT FDI

TOKYO, January 18: Haryana government today signed an MoU with Japan's Mizuho Bank Limited to promote industrial and infrastructure development, generate employment opportunities and attract Foreign Direct Investment in the state. Managing Executive Officer of Mizuho Bank Tatsufumi Sakai and Managing Director Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Sudhir Rajpal exchanged the papers of the MoU in the presence of visiting Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Haryana Industries Minister Captain Abhimanyu and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Kavita Jain were also present during the signing ceremony. During Khattar's visit, it was decided that Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and Soka University, Tokyo will enter a MoU for fostering a common goal for pursuing valued education by exchange of research, scholars and students in the coming years, an official statement said. Khattar also visited to the headquarters of the Soka Gakkai, Tokyo. Soka Gakkai is a Japanese religious movement based on Nichiren Buddhism and the teachings of the organisation's first three consecutive presidents Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, Josei Toda and Daisaku Ikeda. During his meeting, Khattar interacted with some senior officers of the Soka Gakkai. Tanigawa, Senior Vice President and Secretary General of Soka Gakkai said the organisation looked forward to expanding its pro-peace policies and work in India with widening of its base in Gurgaon. -PTI
