First ever ambulance watch tower inaugurated in Maharashtra

THANE, August 30: The first ever ambulance watch tower in the state was inaugurated in the district by Yuva Sena Chief Aditya Thackeray here today. The tower was inaugurated at the Vashi toll post by Aditya Thackeray, in the presence of Public Works Minister and Thane Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde. In his speech Aditya profusely thanked Shinde for readily accepting the suggestion made by him to set up a watch tower for ambulances and urged him to set up many more such towers in the state as well. The ambulance watch towers are meant to keep tabs on the movement of ambulances with critical patients and make easy routes available to them. In his speech Shinde said that a tall tower will be set up at toll booths from where ambulances can be spotted and a green corridor could be created for their movement.
