NEW DELHI, January 25: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said his government will focus on improving the living standards of poor and middle class residents in the national capital.

Highlighting the achievements of the Delhi government, Kejriwal said, the AAP government has successfully laid an alternative governance model before the country wherein several steps have been taken to improve the living standards of people.

At a function here, he set out Delhi's development model and said there is need to first create smart people and smart city will then follow.

"Our government has given the citizens of Delhi responsive, accountable, efficient, effective and transformative governance because the people in our government are honest.Budgets and plans are never in short-supply in government, only honest intentions are. And that we have changed in Delhi. And the results are for everyone to see," the Delhi Chief Minister said.

He further said the Delhi government doesn't have the dearth of funds...government subsidised power, provided free water...the focus of the government is on improving living standards of the poor and middle class. Several measures are being taken to improve health facilities and school education.
