B S Yediyurppa tenders resignation to Karnataka Governor

BJP leader BS Yediyurappa resigned as the Karnataka Chief Minister earlier on Monday. However, it is yet to be known who will succeed as the new Karnataka Chief Minister.

In a major move in the Karnataka government, its Chief Minister  BS Yediyurappa tendered his resignation to the Governor of the state. The towering Lingayat leader announced his resignation on 26th July 2021, when his government completes two years.

"It has been an honor to have served the state for the past two years. I have decided to resign as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. I am humbled and sincerely thank the people of the state for giving me the opportunity to serve them," BS Yediyurappa tweeted.
